Important cosmic conversations are happening when the Sun enters bold, effervescent Aries on March 20th. They include a Venus sextile to Pluto on the 21st, a Sun Pluto sextile on the 23rd, and solar conjunctions with Venus on the 22nd and Mercury on the 24th. It’s as if the planets are conferring about the momentous Sun cycle ahead and giving everyone the opportunity to exam intentions, options and implications. While the Sun kicks off astrology’s new year, Mercury and Venus will emerge from their retrogrades with Mercury re-entering Aries, Neptune will venture into Aries for the first time since 1875 and Mars will re-enter courageous Leo. And, a partial solar eclipse on the new Aries Moon will add to the excitement.
The next intriguing alignment on this solar journey will take place between March 27th and 30th. These are the final days of Neptune’s presence in intuitive, insightful Pisces, until late October, and they center around the partial solar eclipse and new Moon, at 9º Aries 00′, on the 29th. On the 27th retrograding Venus will re-enter Pisces, where she will make her final conjunction to Neptune while it’s in the mutable water sign. The Moon will enter Aries on the 28th and begin clearing the way for its monthly reset and the next day’s eclipse. On the 29th, Mercury will also retrograde back into Pisces and make its last Neptune in Pisces conjunction. Then, transcendent Neptune will ingress into intrepid, groundbreaking Aries on the 30th. It seems that Venus and Mercury have more to add to the conversations that were underway at the cycle’s start. They may also be offering some final guidance for Neptune’s sojourn through the cardinal fires of Aries.
The next points of interest are the connections to innovating powerhouse Uranus on April 4th. Mars and Saturn are still in instinctual water signs, and they will form a trine and sextile Uranus that day. Mars is preparing to move into Leo on the 18th, and Saturn to enter Aries on May 24th. This potent and prescient trio may have some keen strategies for breaking through barriers and discovering paths for advancement. A friendly trine to Mars from Venus on the 6th will boost inspiration more, as will the day’s Sun Jupiter sextile. On the 7th, as Mercury stations direct and drops the intel it gathered during the preceding three weeks, Venus will make her sextile to Uranus, and perhaps refine hunches coming through during this period. Finally, Venus will station direct under April 12th’s full Moon, in her home sign of Libra. That Moon should shed new light on issues that surfaced during Venus’s retrograde, starting back on March 1st.
2025’s Aries solar adventure concludes in fine, fiery fashion. Mercury will re-enter the Mars-ruled sign on April 15th and make its first Aries-based conjunction to newly arrived Neptune on the 16th. On the 17th Mars will re-enter the confident fixed fires of Leo and begin forming a trine to Neptune, one that will perfect on the 19th. After 150 years, these interactions between the inner planets and Neptune will provide our initial experiences of a transit that will last until 2039. It seems only fitting that the fearless, irrepressible Aries Sun is about to take the helm.
