If the classic Frank Sinatra tune “Nice And Easy” is your jam or its title expresses your philosophy, you’re in luck this week. If your approach to life is more adventurous, you’re also in luck this week. Social Mercury is traveling through grounded, enterprising Capricorn, and from there will trine Uranus on Monday and conjoin jovial Jupiter on Thursday. Though Uranus is infamous for its shocks and disruptions, Monday’s meeting is a friendly one, and it takes place underneath an easy-going Pisces moon. That mellow moon will in fact be mingling with Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus and the Sun before chilling out with the ultra-relaxed, if not completely spaced out, Neptune on Tuesday afternoon. The moon’s entrance into Aries late Wednesday breaks the Pisces spell and instigates some cardinal tensions via several squares. But Thursday’s Mercury Jupiter conjunction brings the kind of luck that may turn out to be ideally suited to Aries ineradicable riskiness. By Saturday morning the moon settles down into languid Taurus, closing out the week on a calm, mellifluous note.
For those not wanting to spend the entire week on the couch, Mars is heading into Sagittarius on Friday. The planet of passion and action, feisty Mars makes himself right at home in the outgoing, affable fire sign. Both adore exploration, sport and activity, and this transit lasts until February 16th. New year’s resolutions involving fitness and broadening social circles can find their fuel in this energetic, enthusiastic combo.
This week of course leads up to the storied full moon eclipse of January 10th and accompanying Saturn Pluto conjunction of January 12th. Details about those are in this month’s video, and in next week’s post, I’ll write more about these inextricably linked, trend-setting events. In the meantime, Happy New Decade! Make it a great one!
