Everything is relative. Following the past month of escalated Scorpio intensity, the coming week doesn’t look so bad. In fact, it even has a few sweet spots. Those include the Moon’s visits to soothing Cancer and thoughtful Virgo. On the whole though, the infectious optimism of the Sagittarius Sun is still struggling to gain momentum. This week’s biggest obstacle will come from an ornery Leo Moon that will be presiding over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Sun Into Virgo 2014: Power Station
Forecast Nov 15-21, 2021: The Struggle For Freedom
This week will pair the contradictory forces of fixed sign tension with the Sun’s annual arrival into freedom-loving Sagittarius. The Scorpio Sun will square Jupiter on Monday, Mars will oppose Uranus on Wednesday, the full Moon will clock in at a formidable 27 Taurus 14 early Friday morning and Scorpio-based Mercury will square Jupiter on Saturday. That full Moon includes a lunar eclipse, the first of an incoming series that will last until October 2023.
Forecast Nov 8-14, 2021: Nice And Easy
The week’s flashpoint will arrive on Wednesday when Mercury and Mars will square Saturn under a prickly Aquarius Moon. Thankfully, that hotspot is buffered by the Moon’s visits to Capricorn and Pisces. Under current alignments, those lunar transits will present some very harmonious options. It all gets started on Monday morning when the waxing Moon conjoins Venus, also newly arrived into Capricorn.
Forecast Nov 1-7, 2021: Battle Lines
Thursday’s new Moon in Scorpio and Friday’s sign changes for Venus and Mercury are set to amplify larger trends. The Saturn Uranus squares in fixed signs have been a hallmark of 2021. As those two powerhouse planets remain in tight alignment through 2022, many of the conditions set this year will cement. For the past two months, as the personal planets cycled through Virgo and Libra, the fixed sign friction has receded, a bit. But the Sun’s entrance in Scorpio on October 23rd put the element of fixed water on the table, and set the Sun on a course for squares to Saturn and Jupiter and an opposition to Uranus.
Forecast Oct 25-31, 2021: Skin In The Game
The last time Mars transited Scorpio was from November 19, 2019 to January 3, 2020. At the time, the origins of COVID-19 were known and the virus was known to be spreading. Scorpio is astrology’s best secret keeper. While medical professionals in China, like the late Dr. Li, raised alarm bells, most of the world remained happily oblivious to the deadly threat. By the time Mars exited the fixed water sign, word was getting out.
Forecast Oct 18-24, 2021: Bracing For Impact
The week gets off to a euphoric start as Jupiter and Mercury go direct, the Moon enters adventurous Aries and Mars trines lucky Jupiter. But a Mars square to Pluto is building, and the Sun is about to leave the politeness of Libra for the raw honesty of Scorpio. Add Wednesday’s full Moon, at 27 Aries 26 to the mix, and things are about to get interesting. No one loves fire and ferocity quite as much as audacious Aries. The cardinal fire sign simply can’t sit still. Directed to a purpose, the Mars-ruled sign’s vigor and vitality are particularly useful when applied to physical tasks.
Forecast Oct 11-17, 2021: Emergence
The Moon’s entrance into accomplished Capricorn midday on Monday sets a productive tone for the incoming week. The presence of the Sun, Mercury, Mars in Libra however, could give that ambitious Moon more than a few obstacles to overcome on Tuesday, via a series of squares. Saturn-ruled Cap isn’t known for agility. But the nimble moves mastered when the gauntlet is thrown down on Tuesday will come in handy on Sunday, when the Libra Sun squares Pluto.
Forecast Sep 27 – Oct 10, 2021: Here Comes The Judge
While astrology’s mischief maker Mercury is retrograde, Pluto and Saturn are about to turn direct, the Moon will launch a new phase in a cardinal sign and Venus will change signs. Events get underway on October 6th, when a new Libra Moon coincides with powerful Pluto emerging from its six-month slumber. Since April 27th, its transfiguring force has been applied to the late degrees of Capricorn. Pluto explores shadowy worlds, and Cap is the sign of institutions, governments and big business. Emerging under the Sun sign of deliberation and justice, and notably on its new Moon, Pluto is probably packing quite the drop.
Forecast Sep 20-26, 2021: Great Minds
Sleepwalking into someone else’s meditation is what being under Monday’s Pisces Moon may feel like, especially as it reaches its 28-degree-zenith late in the afternoon. But alert, eager Mercury isn’t retrograde yet. While the Messenger is still making forward progress. its uplifting trine to jovial Jupiter earlier in the afternoon is apt to help us get more than a few boxes checked. Likewise, the Moon will shake off the Pisces cobwebs and jump into action once it rolls into spirited Aries on Monday night.
Forecast Sep 13-19, 2021: Personal Power
Detriment is the term astrologers use when a planet is in the opposite sign of its domicile. For example, Venus is presently in Scorpio, opposite of her home sign of Taurus. This Tuesday, Mars will enter Libra, the sign opposite of its home, Aries. When a planet is in its detriment, its power is at its weakest. Further, astrology’s personal planets are the ones whose transits we experience most directly. So as personal planets Venus and Mars move through the signs of their detriment, we may undergo a crisis of confidence. Ever at the mercy of invasive governments, tech oligarchs and big banks. to name but a few, a sense of powerlessness may increase during this period.
