Activity among the mutable signs will dominate the week’s events. A lunar eclipse, the start of a Mercury retrograde and Venus squaring Neptune and conjoining Mercury are among the highlights. Further, eclipses and retrogrades bring revelations. As the Sun has only just entered Gemini, Wednesday’s is the first of two eclipses and Mercury’s retrograde will last until June 22nd, the discoveries are just getting started. The first hint will arrive on Wednesday under the full Moon at 5 Sagittarius 26. That early degree places this Moon into a loose square to Jupiter at 1 Pisces 11. Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius, and ordinarily planetary alignments in Sagittarius to Jupiter have an inherent resonance and agreement. However, squares and oppositions expose tensions, and both Sag and Jupiter can be perilously overly optimistic. In this case, the Sagittarius Moon will be opposite the Gemini Sun and both will be squared by Jupiter. Gemini is the sign of information and news, while the Moon describes instinct and intuition. Despite what the MSM may be reporting or what others may be saying, paying attention to hunches, while following verifiable facts, is wise. The full Moon fray will immediately be followed by a Venus Neptune square on Thursday. This one suggests a misunderstanding or outright deception in an important relationship. On Friday Mercury and Venus will meet in analytical Gemini, and on Sunday assertive Mars will trine Neptune. Both are helpful aspects for clearing up confusion and charting a reliable course forward. Translation, instead of flying off the handle midweek, wait for clarification. Mars’ transit of Moon-ruling Cancer underscores the prompt to dismiss brainwashing and group think and to defer to internal guidance.
The next nudge to take a deeper look comes courtesy of Mercury’s retrograde, which begins on Sunday. This one will be underway during the second eclipse on June 10th, in Gemini, as well as the year’s second Saturn square to Uranus on June 14th. As mentioned last week, the second of these two eclipses creates a square to Neptune in Pisces. Mercury will also conjoin the Sun and Moon on the 10th, intensifying this square. The North and South Nodes of the Moon are also poised to get into the act, with the South in Sagittarius and North in Gemini. Though there are a variety of interpretations as to the meaning of the lunar Nodes, when eclipses occur in the same signs they will be activated. Generally speaking, the South describes a significant lesson or skill from the past, while the North indicates an area for growth. Clearly, friction between the planets in mutable signs is increasing. To determine where the unfolding action is about to play out in your life, take a look at your birth chart and note the natal planets and houses in mutable signs. Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces signal change and preparation for a new phase. Flexibility and adaptability are two of their key assets, assets that will prove highly beneficial as we reexamine, reorient and reboot.
