November 8th’s lunar eclipse is shaping up to be a doozy. The groundwork will be laid on Monday when the Moon moves into Taurus, the sign it will be in during the eclipse and Venus squares Saturn. As the eclipse takes place on Tuesday, Mercury will conjoin the Scorpio Sun before opposing disruptive Uranus. The lunar nodes will add more tension to the Scorpio Taurus axis, and from fixed Aquarius, Saturn will form a tight square to everything in Taurus and Scorpio. Like aftershocks following a large earthquake, reverberations from Tuesday’s action will continue for a few days. On the 9th the Sun will oppose Uranus before Mercury squares Saturn, and on the 11th, the Sun will square Saturn. In short, it’s crunch time. Whatever has been brewing will reach a boiling point. At the same time, the trio of planets in Scorpio will find harmonious help from Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto and a Cancer Moon.
Jupiter and Neptune are in the later and more potent degrees of receptive, spiritual Pisces. Pisces speaks a subtle and intrinsic language. Its prompts to seek answers from within will be a source of peace throughout any peril. Paired with Scorpio’s insatiable quest for the truth, there will be a strong pull to take a deeper look before taking action. The Sun Mercury conjunction on the eclipse may crack open the first bits of insight, and more guidance will wash in on the 10th when Venus trines Neptune, followed by Mercury on the 12th and the Sun on the 14th. Those connections to creative Neptune will receive support from a Cancer Moon, over the weekend of the 12th, and from sextiles to Venus and Mercury on the 13th and 14th, from formidable Pluto in pragmatic Capricorn. It’s worth remembering that even amidst the tumult of a fixed sign eclipse and t-square, the majority of planets will be in earth and water signs, with yin polarity. Next, Venus will trine benevolent Jupiter on the 15th, followed by Mercury on the 16th and the Sun on the 20th. At the highest degrees of meditative Pisces, expansive Jupiter will be beaming with crystal clarity.
Jupiter’s influence will take on a brighter, more outgoing hue when Venus and Mercury enter its home sign of Sagittarius on the 15th and 17th. Any trip through Scorpio can feel like a dark night of the soul. After this purification ritual, those first rays from hopeful Sag are always encouraging. Following 2022’s fixed sign eclipses, with their layered Saturn Uranus square, the shirt into affable, aspirational Sagittarius will be more welcomed than usual.
