A sense that things are falling into place and even improving will begin to permeate the airwaves over the next two weeks. Both Venus and Mars will return to their home signs, a new moon in flexible Gemini will offer a fresh start and Mercury’s retrograde will conclude. Adding to the optimism, Mars will conjoin Jupiter in reinvigorating Aries. Saturn however, will temper expectations as it begins its five-month-long retrograde. Things get off to a buoyant start on the 23rd as the Gemini Sun sextiles enthusiastic Jupiter while Mercury sextiles ambitious Mars. The Sun and Jupiter are in the early degrees of their transits, a stage in which possibilities abound. Mars is in the final degrees of spiritual Pisces and Mercury back to late Taurus. Together they help with assessing recent events, integrating learned lessons and making sound plans for the future. The sextiles continue into the 24th when Venus and Saturn engage. Venus in fiery Aries may want to abandon all caution, but the conference with realistic Saturn will underscore the need to proceed carefully. That said, later in the day Mars will burst into Aries to began a transit brimming with rejuvenation and excitement. Mars will be stoking the intrepid and inspirational fires of Aries until July 4th. On the 28th Venus will contribute to the comforting feeling of familiarity when she too has a homecoming. Her Taurus visit will last until June 22nd, reacquainting all with life’s simple and sensual pleasures. This transit may also bring some relief to financial strains. The 29th will see Mars conjoin lucky Jupiter in irrepressible Aries, giving a further boost to spirits and endeavors. The new Gemini Moon of May 30th keeps bright ideas flowing, and the end of Gemini-ruled Mercury’s retrograde on June 3rd signals the further lifting of restraints.
Gemini is restless. Its unquenchable pursuit of mental stimulation spurs curiosity, but can just as easily lead to endless and fruitless distraction. Animated by the Mars Jupiter conjunction in impulsive Aries, notions conceived under the new Moon and in the post Mercury retrograde euphoria will likely need moderation. Fittingly, parental Saturn will turn retrograde on June 4th. Saturn is both astrology’s time keeper and its bringer of earned rewards. 2022’s retrograde will see the taskmaster review the ground covered since February 26th, when it crossed the shadow of this retrograde. Specifically, Saturn will backtrack from 25 Aquarius 15 to 18 Aquarius 35. On January 26, 2023, as it completes its Aquarius visit, the planet of limitations and rules will venture past the 25 degree point. For now, the zeal of Mars and Jupiter in Aries coupled with the mental activity of the Sun, new Moon and soon Mercury (coming home to Gemini on June 13th) will need to harmonize with the restrictions imposed by Saturn. Into the broader alchemy, Jupiter and Saturn are working to turn aspirations into achievements.
