February 1st marks the midway point between winter solstice and spring equinox. In some climates, the very first seeds of the new year will be planted. Across the northern hemisphere, the return of sunlight is appreciable. The festivals of Imbolc and St. Brigid, held at this time, have long included the element of fire, to signify the return of warmth and light. In 2023, the full Moon, in the fire sign of Leo, will take place on February 5th. As it waxes, we’ll encounter several encouraging alignments and Venus will enter Pisces.
Venus in Pisces
Forecast Mar 21- Apr 10, 2022: Dream Weavers
Though the Sun has moved into feisty Aries, Mercury is hanging back in peaceful Pisces for one final week. Indeed, Mercury will find itself at the center of a great deal of planetary activity during the next three weeks, as it ventures through late Pisces, all of Aries and into Taurus.
Forecast Mar 8-14, 2021: Life Is But A Dream
If the first two months of 2021 have brought their share of fatigue or a feeling of being burned out, relief is on the way. This week four planets are offering a retreat from all of the electricity that’s been surging from Aquarius and Uranus. Artistic Neptune will make exact conjunctions with the Sun on Wednesday and with Venus on Saturday. In between, the Moon will slip into Pisces on Thursday morning for a two-day rest.
Forecast Mar 1-7, 2021: Out Of The Shadows
Mars’ move into Gemini on Wednesday and Mercury’s conjunction with Jupiter on Thursday are this week’s highlights. But its real cat amongst the pigeons is the seemingly innocuous Moon. La Luna will instigate commotion amongst the fixed and mutable signs beginning on Tuesday night, when she slips into passionate, secretive Scorpio.
Forecast Feb 22-28, 2021: Into The Mystic
Quietly in the background, the lunar Nodes have been working their mutable magic. Last May, when all of the cardinal sign action was the center of attention, the Nodes stepped away from the fray and slipped into Gemini and Sagittarius. For the past two months, the planetary focus has been on the dogged fixed signs. On one hand, people whose charts have strong mutable sign placements have felt relieved. For Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces, the pressure’s been off. On that notorious other hand, the role of the mutable modality is just as essential as those of its counterparts. Where the cardinals thrust and probe and the fixed resolve and sustain, mutables dissolve and prepare. Their capacity to soften is accentuated when Venus is engaged.
