The Sun, Moon, South Node, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto are all in the industrious earth sign of Capricorn, and Mercury is on its way to join them on Saturday. On the macro level, Capricorn deals with business, institutions and systems, and more personally, it pertains to reputation, career and accomplishments. Saturn rules this ambitious and austere sign, and the metaphor of mountain climbing is also often used to describe its traits. Capricorn directs our attention to long-term goals and the practicalities of their attainment.

This week Mars in Scorpio will sextile Saturn on Thursday and powerful Pluto on Sunday, giving us some insight into the upcoming Sun cycle and all of its Capricorn components. The Sun’s journey through Sagittarius closes out the autumn season in the Northern hemisphere, and like all mutable signs, it tells us that we’ve reached a completion point.
